Vehicles we accept in Indianapolis

Cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, RVs — running or not, clean title or complicated.

At Indy Car Connect, we strive to make vehicle donation as easy and inclusive as possible. Whether your vehicle is running or not, we accept a wide range of donations, which helps fund our free benefits-research service for Indianapolis residents. From cars and trucks to motorcycles and boats, almost any drivable or non-drivable vehicle can contribute to our mission of connecting neighbors with vital assistance programs. Your donations not only make a difference in our community but also aid those in need by providing access to essential services like SNAP, WIC, and others.

Categories we accept

Cars & Sedans
1995-present

Donated cars and sedans are commonly auctioned off to the highest bidder, allowing funds to be directed towards local support programs. Non-running vehicles may be dismantled for parts, while those in good condition often fetch a better price.

Indianapolis has a thriving urban scene where sedans and compact cars are popular for commuting and running errands, making them highly sought after in local auctions.

Pickup Trucks
1990-present

Pickup trucks are frequently sold at auction, appealing to buyers in need of reliable work vehicles. Older trucks may also be salvaged for parts, benefitting our mission indirectly.

In Indianapolis, pickup trucks are essential for both personal and professional use, whether it's for landscaping businesses or family outings.

SUVs & Crossovers
2000-present

SUVs and crossovers can be auctioned off or sent to salvage yards. Their versatility makes them popular among families, thus often fetching a reasonable price at auction.

With a growing population, Indianapolis families often look for spacious SUVs for their active lifestyles, making them valuable additions to our donation program.

Motorcycles
2000-present

Motorcycle donations can be auctioned off to enthusiasts or dismantled for parts. They often attract niche buyers who appreciate unique bikes.

The motorcycle community is vibrant in Indianapolis, with many riders eager to support local causes while riding their favorite machines.

RVs & Campers
1995-present

RVs and campers can either be sold at auction or repurposed for parts. They are particularly valuable for families looking to travel.

With outdoor activities near the Indianapolis area, RVs and campers are increasingly popular, providing families with opportunities to explore nature.

Boats
1990-present

Boats are typically auctioned off for recreational use or can be disassembled for parts. They provide a unique avenue for fundraising in our program.

Though Indianapolis isn’t coastal, the city’s proximity to lakes and rivers makes boat donations useful for local recreation.

Commercial Vehicles
2005-present

Commercial vehicles are often sold to businesses or auctioned for parts. They play a crucial role in local commerce and industry.

Indianapolis has a bustling economy with many small business owners eager to buy reliable commercial vehicles, allowing for impactful donations.

Non-running Vehicles
Any year

Non-running vehicles can be recycled or salvaged for parts, still contributing considerable value to our fundraising efforts.

In Indianapolis, many residents have old vehicles sitting idle, and donating them can be a responsible way to clear space while helping the community.

Condition guide

If you're unsure about the condition of your vehicle, we have clear guidance. Running vehicles are ideal and most likely to bring in a good donation value through auction sales. Non-running vehicles are also accepted and can be repurposed for parts or recycled, making them valuable despite their condition.

However, salvage titles may have specific implications. While we can often accept vehicles with salvage titles, rebuilt or reconstructed titles are treated on a case-by-case basis. Vehicles with liens or missing titles may present challenges, so please contact us for clarification about specific cases.
